PINK Trending Gowns Brought To You By Gorgeous Celebs
This year of 2012, wedding trends have been taking a tremendous feminine curve. We’ve covered pastel colours and floral accesories. Subtly sexy lace has been a big part as well. Now we are finding out that romantic pink wedding gowns are becoming ever more popular, straying away from the traditional wedding, and making it your own, as unique as yourself.
We are recapping some amazing celebrity weddings that sported these flamboyant dresses. Although they are from a couple years ago, their dresses are now inspirations to some of today’s fabulous gowns and current trends.
One of our muses is Portia De Rossi. Ellen Degeneres married the classy beauty August 16th, 2008 in their Beverly Hills family home. Portia definitely made jaws drop in her Zac Posen ballgown. The airy and dreamy skirt looked oh so high fashion thanks to the dropped neckline that came straight down to the waist with her delicate back showing since it being completely backless.
You can view more pictures of their wedding here:
Here’s some great pink gowns that I’ve chosen to feature inspired from Portie De Rossi’s dress:
Holly Stalder 2012
Elie Saab 2012
Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring 2012 (the queen of whimsical and fantasy-like gowns!)
Reem Acra Resort 2012 & Vera Wang Spring 2012
Go for a girly pink or a muted nude pink!
Monique Lhuillier Spring 2012 & Papilio 2012
Both have a component of Portia`s dress that`s almost a dead ringer for it.
Next on the list is Gwen Stefani`s wedding gown. It mixes both traditional with new age, into a fantastic ombre look. Gwen Stefani knows how to dress, which is why on September 14th, 2002 she married her beau Gavin Rossdale in a beautiful John Galliano white and hot pink ombre wedding gown. The dress was donated by Gwen to a London museum where everyone can view the masterpiece of a dress. Now, the look is back!
Here`s my picks:
Alena Goretskaya Spring 2012
A softer approach with a pastel pink with airy fabric and detailed with flowers.
Versace Spring 2012
Who says you can`t do things in reverse? Pink is the colour of strength here. Sassy and high-fashion! Yum.
Rockstars and Royalty Spring 2012
This gorgeous gown is created by British Designer Vicky Kidd-Gallichan in Australia (I think I smell another story surfacing!)
